Steamy honey and lemon tea with sliced lemon and fresh thyme. Make this rejuvenating hot toddy in just 10 minutes to give you a boost during those cold winter days. Arguably one of the best remedies for a cold, filled with plenty of vitamins and a nice boost of sugar. Especially good when diffused with some fragrant thyme and a tiny pinch of salt.
In a tea cup or mug add the 3 juices and stir in a tablespoon of honey.
Next add the sliced lemon, lime and orange and sprinkle in a tiny pinch of salt and some fresh thyme.
Top up with hot water.
Stir well to fully dissolve the honey and salt.

Ingredient notes:Juices: Lemon juice is the main ingredients required for the recipe. Orange and lime are optional. Orange juice brings sweetness and lime juice brings sour so you can flavour to your taste. Honey: Honey is essential for balancing out the sour lemon flavour and is the main medicinal agent bringing its soothing effects. Salt: Only the tiniest pinch of salt is needed in this drink. Its only really necessary if you are feeling particularly rough, run down and in need of a sodium boost. If not you may prefer to leave this out.Thyme: Purely for aromatic flavour.Does honey and warm water with lemon cure a cold?Although this lovely beverage can be helpful to soothe a sore throat and loosen congestion, it unfortunately isn't a magic remedy and probably won't release you from the relinquishing grips of a nasty cold.
