HONEY AND LEMON TEA RECIPE. AD FEATURE FOR SILVER MUSHROOM.
Steamy honey and lemon tea with sliced lemon and fresh thyme. Make this rejuvenating hot toddy in just 10 minutes to give you a boost during those cold winter days. Arguably one of the best remedies for a cold, filled with plenty of vitamins and a nice boost of sugar. Especially good when infused with some fragrant thyme and a tiny pinch of salt.
👩🏻🍳 Why make this recipe
The festive period is rife with alcohol. Every trip, every special day, every visit to a friends house.... it can very quickly get out of hand. With this in mind its always nice to have an alternative non alcoholic option or a soothing recovery drink.
Honey and lemon tea is a great option for a virgin hot toddy. Its also sweetened with natural sugar, provides a tangy boost of vitamin C from the lemon juice and is full of goodness from all the health benefits of honey. I also like to add in the juice from oranges and limes, the more citrusy the better! And of course its great to have a healthy boost of vitamins and other essential nutrients.

Salt: Only the tiniest pinch of salt is needed in this drink. Its only really necessary if you are feeling particularly rough, run down and in need of a sodium boost. If not you may prefer to leave this out.
Thyme: Purely for aromatic flavour.
