Measurements: For the amounts required, see the recipe card below and also use the toggle button to see the recipe in cups.
Limes: Lime juice is essential in the recipe for keeping everything fresh and vibrant. The acidic lime prevents oxidation and browning of the chopped avocado. If you can't get hold of limes you can also use lemon juice.
Avocados and mangos: Use ripe avocados and mangos that feel soft but not squishy.
Chilli: Optional.
Coriander (cilantro): Also optional and could be replaced with freshly chopped parsley.

💭 Expert tips
- At the start of the mango salsa recipe add juice of one lime to the chopped red onion and leave to soak for a minute or two. This will help to take the harsh bite out of the raw onion flavour.
- Add the rest of the lime juice to the chopped avocado and mango to help keep it fresh and to stop the browning process.
- Sprinkle the coriander over the top as a garnish or for a more even finish and taste stir well into the finished salsa dish.
- Mango and avocado salsa is a dish I like to make in advance as the mango and avocado chopping can be a bit messy. However, if you don't mind a bit salad prep just before dinner or even once your guests have arrived then this is quite an easy recipe to knock together from scratch.
